1. Stranger Things: The First Shadow

This sci-fi Netflix phenomenon is being brought to life at the Phoenix Theatre, except this time, we’re going way back to the beginning, with a young Jim Hopper having car trouble, and Joyce Maldonado ready to get out of this small town.

2. Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical

With a nostalgic soundtrack and an unexpected romance, this musical adaptation of the '90s cult classic film depicts the story of two manipulative step-siblings, Sebastian and Kathryn, who partake in a cruel bet of seducing and destroying the life of an innocent girl, Annette, and anyone who stands in their way.

3. Edward Scissorhands

Tim Burton’s bittersweet story is now on stage and ready for fans - old and new - to fall in love again. With music by Danny Elfman, Edward Scissorhands is a cult classic about a unique boy and how he turns a quiet, basic town upside down with his special gift and kindness.

4. Standing at the Sky’s Edge

A modern love letter to Sheffield and its community,Standing at Sky’s Edge is an eye-opening production about the Park Hill housing estate, and three generations of its inhabitants that cross each other’s paths and leave their own marks on the estate over six decades.

5. Sister Act The Musical

Olivier Award-winner Beverley Knight returns as lounge singer Delorian Cartier in this classic show about soul and sisterhood. After witnessing her boyfriend murdering an employee, Delorian is forced to hide as a nun under the witness protection program, but can she handle her new rigid life under Mother Superior?

6. Starlight Express

In Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 1984 musical, a child’s toy trains come to life and compete in an exciting race to see who the fastest engine is; Rusty the steam train aims for the gold in order to win the heart of Pearl, the beloved first-class observation car.

7. Mean Girls

Based on Tina Fey’s (“30 Rock”) iconic 2004 film, the Mean Girls musical brings North Shore High and The Plastics to West End. Home-schooled Cady Heron is ready for her first day at a proper high school, but soon realises that teenage girls can be way more savage than Africa’s wildlife, and devises a plan to take the popular “Plastics”clique down.

8. Hadestown

This Tony and Grammy-award winning musical by Anaïs Mitchell tells a refreshing take on the Greek myth of the talented musician, Orpheus, and a young, independent woman, Eurydice, who fall madly in love. When Eurydice sells her soul to work in the underworld for King Hades and his wife, Persephone, Orpheus, is determined to get her back.

9. MJ the musical

Inspired by the life of the King of Pop, MJ the Musical follows the life of Michael Jackson during the making of his 1992 Dangerous World Tour, and is sure to have you moonwalking and belting all his classic hits including Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller and Smooth Criminal.

10. The King and I

Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I epitomises the golden age of musicals and is the winner of multiple awards.
