Founded in Mexico in 2013, Gala de Danza’s mission is to bring "beautiful artistry to extraordinary places" while highlighting the importance of arts education globally. Since its inception, the Gala has drawn together world-class talent from across the performing arts spectrum. Now it's coming to one of London's most iconic venues, renowned for its stunning architecture and rich history as a backdrop for cultural and artistic showcases.

Mesmerising Artistry

The London edition promises to be a groundbreaking experience, continuing its tradition of immersive, cross-disciplinary performances that challenge artistic boundaries.

Christina Lyon, Gala de Danza’s Creative Director and Founder, reflects on the journey:

“It has been over a decade since we began Gala de Danza in Mexico, bringing together a global community of artists with the shared vision of creating something truly unique. Our audience can expect mesmerising performances in London, filled with novel interpretations and collaborations that evoke the senses."

Lyon adds: "We’re excited to take the Gala’s vision to a new international stage, extending our brand of 'beautiful artistry in extraordinary places' to London.”

Gala de Danza has previously hosted an array of internationally acclaimed performers, from stars of the American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet to pop sensation Tate McRae and Latin ballroom champions Yulia Zagoruychenko and Riccardo Cocchi.

London’s Gala de Danza line-up is set to be equally stellar, featuring performers from Rambert, The Royal Ballet and English National Ballet. The event will also include world premieres by renowned choreographers Juliano Nunes and Jade Hale-Christofi, along with performances from innovative artists like Murmuration, Earth Harp, and the UK International Latin Champions.

Nunes will lead an exclusive interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, offering audiences a breathtaking exploration of the classic masterpiece. Emerging talents from Youth America Grand Prix will also take the stage, with more exciting artists and collaborations still to be announced.

Speaking about his involvement, Nunes said: “Discovering Christina’s immense passion and energy has been a positive force in my journey as an artist. Gala de Danza does not conform to artistic ideals; it opens eyes and fills hearts.”
