A selection of concierge from local hotels were invited by the MW Eat Group to dine at the revolutionary restaurant in the heart of exclusive Belgravia.
The group spent the evening at Amaya, sampling the sophisticated grills of India, infused with subtle, complex flavours.
Unique Dining
Amaya opened in 2004 to immediate acclaim. It is a totally unconventional fine dining restaurant. The food is prepared in a theatrical open kitchen in full view of customers and is served immediately, in bite-sized portions, with the aim of diners sharing. There are no conventional first or main courses.
Amaya serves a broad range of grills, from an exceptional variety of seafood, poultry and game, as well as 15 vegetarian dishes.
These ingredients are marinaded in bespoke, unusual and creative blends of complex seasonings and then cooked in a hot-clay oven, an open grill, a searing hot-iron-plate, or stir fried. The result is a memorable gourmet adventure.
"As the Michelin Guide says we create ‘gourmet theatre from another stratosphere’."
Ambience
The décor is ground-breaking, in flawlessly fusing a full open kitchen with the restaurant space, and bringing in Indian decorative idioms into contemporary design. The result: a sensational interior to match its novel style of Indian cuisine, creating a restaurant with allure.
