A Night of Shared Glory at the Olivier Awards

The winners of the 2025 Olivier Awards have been announced, celebrating the best of West End theatre over the past year.

Fiddler on the Roof, Giant, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button each won three awards, while Oedipus and Titanique claimed two apiece.

Stage veterans Lesley Manville (Oedipus) and John Lithgow (Giant) took home Best Actress and Best Actor, while Romola Garai won Best Supporting Actress for The Years and Elliot Levey won Best Supporting Actor for Giant.

In the musicals, Layton Williams (Titanique), Imelda Staunton (Hello, Dolly!), John Dagleish (Benjamin Button), and Maimuna Memon (Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812) all earned top acting awards.


Best New Play

Winner: Giant by Mark Rosenblatt at Jerwood Theatre Downstairs at Royal Court Theatre.


Best New Musical

Winner: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, music and lyrics by Darren Clark, book and lyrics by Jethro Compton at Ambassadors Theatre.

Best Revival

Winner: Oedipus by Robert Icke at Wyndham’s Theatre.


Best Musical Revival

Winner: Fiddler on the Roof, music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, book by Joseph Stein at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.


Best Actress
